The sun has at last got it’s hat on, or at the very least it has shrugged off it’s winter coat and we can get out on the bike without freezing our wotsits off.
One of my favourite bike meets, which starts again this Sunday, is the Two Stroke Sundays organised by and held at The Shoulder of Mutton pub in Grandborough. Click Here for map
This is a great pub with a great landlord and they always get a good turnout of bikes from two strokes through to Boris our Ural sidecar outfit. I think the landlord has forgiven for putting a gouge in the road outside of the pub when we were a bit too er enthusiastic when turning into the car park last summer and ended up pirouetting on the sidecar before returning to terra firma.
Bit too close for comfort that and him indoors has been suitably reprimanded!
Anyhow the landlord,Paul, is a great bloke and they serve a mean nosebag with a special Bikers Menu for the Two Stroke Sunday gatherings, personally I don’t know if we can resist the Sunday dinner, but we can vouch for the bikers menu also, you won’t go hungry.
If you can tear yourself away from the bikes and the general chinwag about all things bikes then when the dates coincide with the Moto GP you can sit in the pub and watch that on the TV for a bit.
It’s all good.
There are some pictures and a video hereabouts of the last gathering of 2009 so that you can see the variety of bikes and the numbers that get over there.
Well worth a ride out and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
