Last night whilst waiting for the Moto GP coverage to start I caught the tail end of Top Gear and listened to that plank Jeremy Clarkson trying to convince us that driving a metal box is more fun than a motorcycle – yeah right!
He actually said motorcyclists ride their bikes just for the pleasure of it not with anywhere particular to go.
That’s ‘cos we can Jeremy without getting stuck in traffic.
Then he spent the next five minutes trying to convince us that some boring metal box – it’s too boring to even remember the name – can be driven just for the pleasure of it.
Is this bloke for real?
Yes, unfortunately he is.
We saw him on virtually empty roads somewhere in Wales saying how great it was, whereas in the real world you and I know that an empty road is a rare beastie indeed and is normally created by overtaking a load of cars all in a procession on our motorcycles and having our own patch of empty tarmac. It’s either that or sticking to B roads and jolting out our fillings!
It’s about time Richard Hammond and James May grew backbones and stood up to Clarkson and got some motorcycles featured on Top Gear instead of gas guzzling, queue creating, downright boring tin boxes!
