As part of their hundredth anniversary celebrations Suzuki GB are holding a Hayabusa 10th birthday celebration at Santa Pod on October 10th and 11th.

Suzuki have just announced that original Hayabusa designer, Koji Yoshiura, will be attending the event on both days.

Mr Yoshiura will join what is anticipated to be thousands of fans at the Northamptonshire drag strip, to celebrate the legendary bikes birthday.

Suzuki GB director of sales and marketing, David Taylor commented, “We are delighted to welcome Yoshiura-san to our Hayabusa celebrations. As we all know motorcycling is a passionate subject, but only a very small number of machines ever achieve cult status. The Hayabusa is a hugely distinctive machine, which it is fair to say has achieved this status. To be able to welcome the man that designed such a legendary machine to a UK event is a real honour.”

Included in the attractions is an opportunity to ‘Run what ya brung’ so you can see what your machine is really capable of down the drag strip.

For £30 you can run your Suzuki down the strip as many times as you like during the day and try to reach the top spot on the Suzuki leader board.

There are prizes for the fastest riders each day and the chance to win a helicopter ride for any visitors to the event.

You will also get the opportunity on Saturday to meet three times British Superbike Champion, John Reynolds, who will be in action on the drag strip on Saturday morning.
