The likeable Geordie bikers, aka The Hairy Bikers, who have been entertaining us with their culinary skills on TV for a few years just got even more jammy, excuse the pun. Not only do they get to ride their bikes to places most of us only dream about over a pint but they get paid to do it as well.

Well now the jam-ometer is in overdrive. Following on from their most recent series The Hairy Bakers which in viewer numbers was about 2 million more successful than the BBC had hoped for there is to be The Hairy Bikers Christmas Special for which bike building specialists Hawg Haven have been brought in to build them one-off custom motorcycles based on their individual specifications and which they get to keep afterwards. Like I said jammier, than a jammy thing stuck in Jam!

No, not jealous not at all!

Joking aside, I have found their programmes to be highly entertaining and their cookbooks that have accompanied the series are all extremely good value not only providing recipes but also a lot of background information on the countries visited and the people they met.

In my opinion anything that shows bikers in a good light is never a bad thing. Good luck to you lads and I look forward to seeing the Christmas special.
