Billion Dollar Biker

Billion Dollar Biker Campaign

In 2010 Ron Holland plans to smash the motorcycle land speed record at Bonneville Speed Week by travelling in excess of 400mph on his 1,000 brake horsepower V8.

You can see the full story in the video at the bottom of the page. If you want to get involved with sponsoring Ron you can find out how to do that by clicking here.

So what is the Billion Dollar Biker Campaign?

Ron believes that a high profile event like a land speed record is an ideal opportunity to bolster publicity for his amazing plan to raise $1 billion for charity every year, with a scheme dubbed The Billion Dollar Biker.

Here’s a short video explaining the concept:

Here’s the background:

In South America they have ATM cash machines just like ours. The procedure for withdrawing cash is just the same, except that before pressing the final proceed key you are asked on-screen whether you wish to donate the equivalent of about 30 cents to a listed charity; a sum that would not be deducted from your cash payout, but charged on your monthly statement. To indicate your decision you click the option box.

It’s a no-brainer; it’s a tiny sum, it’s easy, and it doesn’t reduce your payout.

Consider this:

In the United States alone there are well over ten billion ATM transactions made every year! Assume we have a DONATE TO CHARITY BOX on every ATM. If just ten percent of these clicked the ‘Donate $1 to Charity’ button we could raise a billion dollars a year for charitable causes….every year…and that’s just in the US!

  • Imagine if this was happening in every country in the world and not just ATMs – but the Internet as well.
  • Imagine any place where payments are made on the Internet had a simple option box ‘Donate $1 to Charity’ placed next to every single checkout and shopping basket.

So What Do I Need To Do?

  • We need to alert big companies and motivate them into action. Amazon, Google, PayPal Airlines, MSN, Banks, Visa, MasterCard, Dell, AmEx, Ebay…the list goes on and on. Citibank for example have 1000s of ATMs in the U.S. including 5,700 Citibank-branded ATMs inside 7-Eleven stores.
  • If they step up to the plate, so too will the general public with their £1/$1 donations.
  • We need to alert Charities and Charitable Foundations to get them behind this campaign. We do that by sending this site link out to everyone we know. Everyone will get to hear about this powerful campaign very quickly.
  • We need your ideas on who this money should be for. As a people we have huge influence. Should the funds be for environmental issues? Should the funds go to a charitable foundation who split the money between several major charities? Cancer has affected just about every family in the world. What about AIDS and poverty?

Your views are welcome and will be available for everyone to see.

The world is becoming more a philanthropic place…thank Goodness!

People worldwide want to give!

Let’s rapidly spread the word and tell the big corporations what is needed to be put in place.

This is your chance to be part of something really exciting and make a huge difference to deserving people across the globe.

What The Billion Dollar Biker Campaign Is:

The campaign is a simple public opinion / awareness viral campaign, one person tells two people and so on…

Our simple aim is to alert the world that this fund raising methodology is easy to implement and once done will generate a billion dollars a year for charity

Our aim is to harness the mind power and also the click power of the Internet

The mind power is harnessed in so far as we ask what is your brilliant idea for making this happen or how you can help us, feedback here

The click power is harnessed by encouraging everyone to send the message on to at least two friends. The reward for doing so is 4 FREE business books

Our aim is to alert the world that there is simple methodology for raising a billion a dollars for charity every year….it just needs to be implemented

What The Billion Dollar Biker Campaign Isn’t:

  • We don’t handle any money
  • We don’t deal with any charities
  • We don’t deal with bank or financial institutions
  • We don’t decide what charities get the money
  • We don’t decide policy, distribution of funds, collection of funds

How do we know when we’ve achieved our goal?

Simple!  When every ATM in every county in the world and all Internet and other digital payment transaction sites have an optional donate $1 (or micro-payment) to charity box on it.

P.S.
Don’t forget Ron is raising the profile of this campaign by aiming to break the motorcycle land speed record in 2010 at Bonneville Salt Flats.

He needs your help to do that.

Remember Burt Munro in the World’s Fastest Indian?

He had the skill and the determination but without the help of people like you and me his dream may not have become a reality.

Help Ron by donating just £1 (or more if you want) and let’s get the record back to the UK and a billion dollars raised for charity.
